Stop confusing bravery with courage.
Firefighters are courageous. They run towards danger while the rest of us flee!
**Bravery is when you’re terrified, full of self-doubt but you still choose to take the first step.
That’s why I encourage 10% braver. You don’t have to be the bravest, just braver than you were last time.
For some people being 10% braver is raising their hand in a meeting, for others, it is changing the culture of an entire organisation. And for someone reading this, being 10% braver might be leaving that toxic relationship that you know is hurting you.**
What would your life look like if you were just 10% braver?
Here are three ways you can increase your bravery percentage:
- Swap fear for curiosity: Rather than telling yourself you can’t do something. Instead, ask yourself what would it look like if you could.
- Be a positive disruptor: Your next breakthrough idea is hiding in that uncomfortable silence.
- Have courageous conversations: everything you want is on the other side of a 10-minute conversation you’re scared to have. Sometimes that conversation is with yourself.
