How To Plan, Write And Deliver A Stellar TEDx Talk

Leadership, Professional Development, Resilience

Doing a TEDx talk changed my life.

Great things have happened since, including a book deal and invitations to speak around the world, and yeah, that is exciting! But the transformation I’m most grateful for is the one that started the day I was 10% braver and dared to consider my thoughts and ideas were worth sharing.

I didn’t feel I was particularly inspirational, and obeyed the commands of my pet Vulnerability Vulture (Vernon) to keep my head down and my gob shut on many occasions in my professional life! Then I stopped saying ‘I can’t and started asking one question:

Then, instead of saying ‘I can’t’ I started asking one question:

What would it look like if could?

That’s my question for you. Thing is, you could spend the rest of October trying to avoid catching a cold and wishing Game of Thrones was still on or you could throw your hat into the ring of one of these two exciting opportunities to speak: The Chartered College of Teaching Conference or TEDxNorwich.

The Chartered College of Teaching are planning for their first annual conference in London on Saturday 17th February 2018. They are looking for two or three teachers and school leaders to deliver 15 minute TED-style talks and the theme of the conference is ‘Connect, Inform, Inspire’. Talk can be anything that is close to your heart as a teacher.

TEDxNorwich is on Saturday 28th April 2018 and the theme is ‘Dream Big’. TEDx Talks are world famous and this is a great opportunity to share your WHY. You don’t have to be a teacher, or even in education, you just need one big idea.

CLICK HERE to find out more details and apply to speak at Chartered College. The deadline is 31st October 2017.

CLICK HERE to do the same for TEDxNorwich. The deadline for this is a little further away – 15th November 2017.

Hey, here’s an idea – do both! Both events are looking for a variety of voices and would be excited to hear from YOU!

If you need a reason to stand up and speak, take 10 minutes to watch my TEDx Talk on The Power of EveryDay Heroes
