I’d just won Speaker Of The Year, but that’s not why it’s special.
I’ve always been blessed with amazing friends in absence of a family growing up. I’ve had Everyday Heroes champion my journey and a cast of accidental cheerleaders come and go at just the right moment.
I’ve also navigated a fair amount of chaos and trauma, some of which left me a little low on belief in myself and trust in others both in life and at work.
These two humans changed that forever.
Steve Cockram, Becky Barsellotti and I are an unlikely trio on paper! Add in Stu Wright, and Daniel Joy and the result is so much more than a friendship. Along with their fantastic families, they have given me the golden opportunity to rewrite my past, stand on the truth about myself and dream bigger than I thought was possible!
Basically, every success (and reframed failure) of the last three years is down to these phenomenal humans.
I’m living proof that it’s never too late to have a happy childhood, learn to trust again or live life as the human you were designed to be rather than the human the world told you that you had to be.
